克利的墓誌銘

「我存活在
方生方死之間
對於今世
並不瞭解
祇是 窺見了
一些創造的奧秘
——不過
還很遙遠。」



週日上午的人體課
老師興沖沖地將他重新譯過的
克利的墓誌銘
拿上樓來

還說道，將來他的墓誌銘
就是一張白紙
用以總結這交白卷的一生

「方生方死」是怎樣一種心境
還不瞭解
（目前的我，應該比較接近「醉生夢死」吧）
但在這張四年前的習作中
我總覺得
在某個角度，或是某個瞬間
看到了
死亡的容顏
（彷彿那就是我心目中的死神 彷彿我依然崇拜且神往）

祇是不知道
那反應的是
我生命中的死亡
還是死亡中的生命

the dead part of my life
or the living part of the dying? the life in the death?

Or simply reflects the crucial fact that we are both living and dying.
Anyway, i decide to name the painting The Death.
